Lactoferrin Enhanced is a unique, clinically trialled combination of lactoferrin, olive leaf extract, probiotics and zinc to support skin health, a healthy immune response and regulate gastrointestinal health.

Why Lactoferrin Enhanced?

  • Lactoferrin is naturally found in colostrum and is a component of the innate immune response. It may provide broad spectrum anti-microbial and anti-viral activity. significantly reduces acne lesions (pimples) in mild to moderate acne vulgaris.
  • Olive leaf extract (Bonolive) is a clinically trialled olive leaf extract found to exhibit broad spectrum antimicrobial properties against viruses and bacteria in vitro. It also contains compounds that may support the healthy function of the immune system.

Adults:
Two (2) capsules daily.

Capsules not to be given to children under 4 years of age, to be administered as directed by your healthcare professional.

Warnings

Interactions

  • Use with caution in combination with anti-diabetic drugs or antihypertensive drugs. Theoretically, olive leaf may enhance their effects.
  • If taking antibiotics, take 2 hours away from probiotics.
  • Advise patients to take penicillamine, quinolone antibiotics or tetracycline antibiotics at least 2 hours before or 4-6 hours after zinc supplementation. Zinc may interfere with the absorption and activity of these drugs.
  • Use with caution in combination with amiodarone. Amiloride can reduce urinary zinc excretion, especially at doses of 10 mg/day or more.
  • Use with caution in combination with Cisplatin. Preliminary data suggests that zinc may interfere with cisplatin in the body. Cisplatin might also increase zinc excretion.
