Actilax Lactulose Oral Liquid

Directions

Adults:
Usual initial dose is 15 to 30mL daily.
After three days, dose may be reduced to 10 to 25mL daily for maintenance.

Children:
It is recommended that Actilax is given to infants and children under medical supervision.

• 7 to 14 years:
  15 mL
• 1 to 6 years:
  10 mL
• Infants under 1 year:
  5 mL

Maintenance daily doses are as follows:

• 7 to 14 years:
  10 mL
• 1 to 6 years:
  5 to 10 mL
• Infants under 1 year:
  3 to 5 mL

May be taken mixed with fruit juice, water or milk.
In general, patients taking Actilax for constipation should drink plenty of fluids end ensure that there is adequate fibre in the diet.

DO NOT refrigerate or freeze.

Ingredients

Each 5mL contains lactulose 3.3g

Contains sulfites and sugars (as lactose, galactose and others).

Warnings

Keep out of reach of children.

If symptoms persist consult your healthcare professional.
Do NOT use if you suffer from bowel obstruction.
Prolonged use of laxatives is undesirable and may lead to dependence.
