Pump directly into breastfeeding bags 2 ways:

  1. Using Lansinoh® breast pumps, attach bag to expression set and pump directly into bag.
  2. Using most standard size pumps: Use the Lansinoh® Pump Adapter to pump directly into bags. Adapter sold separately. Fits most Medela®, Ameda®, and Evenflo® pumps.

Directions

  • Wash your hands before handling storage bags
  • Tear off the safety seal at the top of the bag and open by gently pulling the zipper apart.
  • Storage bags are pre-sterilised and do not need to be washed before use.
  • Pour breastmilk into the storage bag.
  • When freezing: do not fill more than 3/4 full to allow for expansion.
  • Before closing the bag, read the fill quantity, then close the bag and mark the quantity, date and time in the space provided.
  • Bags can be stored upright or flat in the fridge or freezer. When store flat, bags are easier to thaw.
  • To avoid freezer burn, remove as much air as possible from the bags before freezing.
  • Seal the bag by compressing the double seal. Repeat to ensure safe sealing.
  • Single use only.

Length of time freshly expressed breaskmilk can be stored:

  • Room temperature (26°C or lower): 6-8 hours
  • Fridge (5°C or lower): 3 days
  • Freezer section (-15°C): 2 weeks
  • Freezer section of fridge with separate door (-18°C): 3 months
  • Deep freeze (-20°C): 6 months
