Hot application:
Microwave: Place gel pad into microwave on high power for approximately 30 seconds (if the gel pack is at room temperature) or 1 minute (if the gel pack is frozen).
After this time check that the gel pad has reached the correct temperature. If not, further exposure should be in 10 second bursts (times are based on 600w microwave) adjust heating times according to the power of your microwave.
Hot water: Bring water to the boil, remove from heat and immerse the gel pad for approximately 4-10 minutes. After 4 minutes, check every 1 minute to see if the correct temperature has been reached.
Cold application:
Freeze: Store in the freezer for readiness when an injury occurs. Gel freezes in approx. 1 hour. When frozen, bend the pack back and forth several times to make it more conforming.
Do not overheat the Pack in the Microwave.
Follow the instructions.
Do not use if damaged.
Keep out of reach of children.
Do not use directly on skin without towel bag.
Excessive heating may cause Pack to leak or rupture.
Discard Pack if punctured or damaged.
If Gel gets in contact with skin or eyes, flush with plenty of water without delay.
If gel is accidentally ingested, contact the Poisons Information Centre on 13 11 26.
For children and immobile people use only under constant supervision.
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist.
