Smith&Nephew CICA-CARE Silicone-based products such as sheets and gels are recommended as the gold standard, first-line, non-invasive option for both the prevention and treatment of scars.

CICA-CARE Silicone Gel can help prevent, reduce or soften scars such as keloid and hypertrophic scars as well as scars from scalds, burns, plastic surgery and breast surgery. It can be used for the management of new and existing scars.

In fact, when CICA-CARE Silicone Gel are used correctly, best results may be seen after 2-4 months treatment times.

Smith&Nephew CICA-CARE Silicone Gel

Directions

1. Clean and thoroughly dry the application area.
2. Unscrew cap and dispense an appropriate amount of gel to ensure adequate coverage of treatment area.
3. Gently massage a thin layer of CICA-CARE Gel into the treatment area. When dry, an invisible film is created.
4. If the gel has not dried within 4 – 5 minutes, remove the excess.
5. After the gel has dried, cosmetics may be applied over the film.
6. Use the gel at least twice daily.
7. Always replace the cap tightly after use.

Avoid using around flames and sources
of ignition (e.g. burning cigarettes).
Prior to application of CICA-CARE silicone gel, ensure the application area is clean and completely dry.
If a skin reaction occurs or the condition of the skin appears to deteriorate,
discontinue use and seek medical advice.
CICA-CARE Silicone Gel is used for red and raised hypertrophic and keloid scars.
